Win the world, or should we be saying what the what?!

This is a lovely tagline on the Crawford County United website. They intend to win the world. A note that Vote for Meadville is part of Crawford County United, which is part of PA United/Pittsburgh United. All of which are funded by outside sources. Last time around, we saw The Movement Voter Project contribute a substantial amount to the PA United campaign. This year, the Movement Voter Project has reported a decline in donations, but that doesn't mean that PA United and some of our Meadville city council candidates aren't getting funding or support from outside sources. Let's start with PA United though.
PA United has more than one political action committee, as well as a tax-exempt entity;
And in case for some odd reason, you doubt that Autumn and Larry are part of PA United;
Or, go look at the post on the Vote for Meadville Facebook page, as they have finally confirmed this connection. Why wait so long to make an announcement about a connection if you're "proud" of it?

It seems as though we have an iceberg. Have you ever seen an iceberg? Maybe in the movie Titanic, you recall seeing one. On the surface it looks small and like you could avoid it, but underneath there's generally something bigger that can destroy the whole boat. It's hidden just under the surface, but if you look hard enough you might find it. Well, folks, Vote for Meadville is the little bit of the iceberg on the top of the water, CCU, PAU, and all of these outside funding sources are the large pieces hiding below the surface.
We're here to warn you, "Iceberg, straight ahead!"

Let's focus for a moment on PA United, the parent organization of VFM/CCU. They supported our local candidates in prior elections too, and don't have a plan to stop. They'll recruit, they'll train, and they'll pay people to spread their message;
Do we have your attention yet? We hope so. All of this organizing they are doing is part of a campaign called "Our Communities Can't Wait." What's this all about?

The richest 1% and the politicians they pay? Do they have evidence to support this claim?
Let's stumble through that last sentence, "Together, we can create a government where the people who work the hardest and bear the greatest burden the most are also the ones who write the laws."
Are they insinuating that the "richest 1%" don't work, or didn't work to get where they are?
Write laws, what laws are you trying to write here? Hopefully not a revision to freedom of speech, although there is evidence that Vote for Meadville is already trying to silence those who don't agree with them.

What's it with these folks and money? They keep referring back to money, and how it divides everyone, and that we need to make the wealthy few pay. Unfortunately, the only people who seem to be dividing anyone here are you folks and your iceberg campaign. Now, you're likely wondering why we keep referring to this as an iceberg campaign. Well, we followed the money. You heard that right, the same folks who moan and groan about the richest 1% allegedly paying politicians, have received funding for their campaigns from outside sources. Don't just take our word for it though, we have the proof of campaign contributions to back up our claims;
.

The Working Families Party out of Brooklyn, NY, made their contribution on March 27, 2023.
The 1630 Fund out of Washington, DC, made their contribution on April 25, 2023.
Let's take a little quick trip into these funds, shall we?
The Working Families Party has this on its website;
(Clicking the photo above will take you to their website, as well as clicking Autumn Vogel's name below. We believe in citing our sources and providing the facts to support our claims.)
We'll let you make of it what you want. However, you might be saying, that doesn't mean that our city council is part of this, you'd be wrong.
It is interesting to note, that Larry McKnight's name is not on this website as one of their candidates. Not sure of the reasoning there, but it was worth mentioning.
This is what the 1630 fund has on its website regarding what it stands for;
Then, there's the Green Advocacy Project;
Out of curious, does it violate their own pledge by not running true local, people-funded campaigns? Last we checked, these are not local to our area.

Don't forget, PA United also pays people to canvass for them;
These are just a few of the major contributions that have come into PA United, this isn't all of them, this isn't the end of them, and this doesn't outline all of the contributions that Larry and Autumn have received and reported on their campaign finance reports. One could say this is just the tip of the iceberg.
We're all on the same ship, and right now there are some that are trying to steer us toward the iceberg and the damage that it may cause. We can take back the ship now and steer clear, or, we can hit the iceberg and start scooping out buckets of water trying to save the ship later. We get to decide this. The choice is ultimately yours as to which way you help this boat steer. Just know the facts about what's really below the surface before you decide which way you'd like to go.
